CARPET FLOORING

CARPET FLOORING

A carpet is a thick, woven floor covering. Most carpets cover the whole floor in a room, as opposed to a rug, which only covers a small section
types of carpet flooring

Wool Carpet Material.

Wool is a completely natural fiber containing natural oils. These oils are resistant to dirt and will repel other oil-based soiling. Plus, as wool is an opaque fiber, dirt will be harder to see so your carpet will naturally appear clean.

Polypropylene Carpet Material.

Polypropylene rugs (also known as olefin rugs) are designed to look like sisal, but they are actually made from synthetic fibers. Polypropylene — the main ingredient in the rug — is simply a polymer created from monomer propylene and is frequently used in packaging, labels, textiles, and reusable containers.

Nylon Carpet Material.

Nylon is the leader in: appearance retention, fade and heat resistance, soil and stain resistance, and color and styling. The highest performance nylon is Type 6.6, which has a tighter molecular construction, making the carpet more resistant to stain penetration.

Polyester Carpet Material.

Polyester carpeting is a synthetic fibers option that provides better stain resistance and durability than wool carpet or other natural fiber alternatives. Although it is a more eco-friendly option than nylon carpet, it might not be the best carpet selection for high-traffic

Acrylic Carpet Material.
Acrylic fibers are synthetic fibers made from a polymer (polyacrylonitrile) with an average molecular weight of ~100,000, about 1900 monomer units. For a fiber to be called “acrylic” in the US, the polymer must contain at least 85% acrylonitrile monomer. Typical comonomers are vinyl acetate or methyl acrylate
